Nebula Ace: A Space Shooter You Steer With Your Head

Nebula Ace is a webcam-controlled arcade shooter. Lean your head left and right and your ship slides along the bottom of the screen; the guns fire on their own. That leaves exactly two things to think about: where you are, and when to spend your Nova.

The Nova

Every kill feeds the Nova meter in proportion to how tough the enemy was. At 100 percent, one gesture unleashes your ship's signature screen-clearing attack. The meter is the only gate: fill it and fire, no cooldown to wait out. Enemies destroyed by the Nova itself are worth half points, so greedy pilots hold it for emergencies and let the guns do the scoring.

You choose the trigger gesture before launch: raise your hand, or simply raise your eyebrows. The choice is remembered between sessions.

Keyboard and Mouse Mode

Start with Control flies the same campaign with no camera at all: steer with the arrow keys or simply move the mouse, and fire the Nova with Space once the meter reads 100 percent (the charge rules do not change). On phones, drag to steer and tap the Nova button. Everything else, from stages to ship unlocks, works exactly as in motion mode.

Five Stages, Five Bosses

The campaign runs through five 90-second stages, each with its own exclusive enemy roster: Orbital Approach, The Frozen Belt, Ember Forge, The Hive, and The Rift Core. Each stage ends in a multi-phase boss fight: the Warden, Hailspire, Cinderjaw, Broodcore, and finally the Sovereign. Bosses are worth 10,000 points, the Sovereign 25,000. Beat all five and the nebula loops, harder each lap.

You start with three lives and can bank up to five. Taking a hit grants a moment of invulnerability to reposition. Regular kills score 100 points per point of enemy hull, so the beefier the target, the bigger the reward.

Four Ships to Unlock

The Vireo is yours from the first flight. The Aegis unlocks after you defeat Hailspire, the Wisp after ten hours of total flight time, and the Halcyon after you bring down the Sovereign. Each ship changes fire rate, Nova behavior, or both. Playing signed in tracks your unlock progress and posts scores to the arcade leaderboard.

Accessibility

The eyebrow trigger makes the entire game playable without moving your arms: steering is head lean, firing is automatic, and the Nova fires on a brow raise. Choosing the eyebrow option also skips loading the hand-tracking model, which speeds up start on slower connections. The camera preview is hidden by default and can be toggled on, sound can be muted from the pause menu, and the game auto-pauses when you switch tabs. On phones it plays in portrait.

Camera and Privacy

All motion tracking happens on your device, in the browser. No video is uploaded anywhere. See the privacy policy for the full picture, and the play space guide for the lighting that keeps brow detection reliable.

FAQ

Do I have to shoot manually?

No. Firing is fully automatic. Your skill goes into dodging, positioning, and timing the Nova.

Is there a two-player mode?

No. Nebula Ace is a single-pilot game: one face steers one ship.

What happens after stage five?

The campaign loops with faster spawns and tougher enemies each time around, so a run only ends when your lives do.
