Privacy Policy

Motion Arcade (https://motionarcade.app) is a browser-based arcade of motion-controlled games played with your webcam. This policy explains what information we handle, what stays on your device, and the choices you have.

The games use your webcam to track your hands, face, and body. All video processing happens locally on your device using in-browser machine learning (MediaPipe). Camera frames are never uploaded, stored, or seen by our servers or by anyone else. Closing the game stops the camera.

Creating an account is optional. If you sign up, we collect your email address (and, if you sign in with Google, the name, email, and profile picture Google shares) to authenticate you and to save cross-device progress such as scores and unlocks. Authentication and data storage are provided by Supabase.

Best scores, furthest stages, and game settings are kept in your browser's local storage so your progress survives a refresh. You can clear them at any time through your browser's site-data settings.

Signing in sets strictly necessary Supabase session cookies (named sb-*) that keep you logged in; they are cleared when you sign out. A small ma-consent cookie remembers your cookie choices, and ma-region remembers which consent banner applies to you. Analytics and advertising storage is used only per your consent choice: visitors from the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland opt in, and visitors elsewhere can opt out. Online co-op relays gameplay state (room codes, paddle positions, game snapshots) between players through Supabase Realtime. This data is transient and is not retained after the session ends.

We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage (page views, country, device type). It does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites.

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads, including personalized ads where you have consented. You can control ad personalization at Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers that run the site — Supabase (accounts and multiplayer), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and Google (ads and optional sign-in) — each acting under their own privacy terms.

Account data is kept while your account exists. To delete your account and its data, email us at support@motionarcade.app and we will remove it within 30 days.

Motion Arcade is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Accounts are not required to play.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
